Hello People...

Today I'm going to be talking about happiness... This is a very important topic because in a society where many people are so focused on what is not working rather than the things around us that make our life's work. Such as family, quality friends, and partners, we could loose sight of these things. What we do or do not do influence our sense of happiness. What I mean by this statement is that our choices play a huge role in our sense of feeling happy. This is not to say that if we make a choice and it feels right by us, it automatically guarantees happiness. I wish it was always that simple to fall in place like that, however we should be on our way closer to having a sense of happiness if we make choices that make us feel whole and grateful.

Firstly I defined happiness as ones sense of being happy. This may be in relationships, careers, and anything else in and out of the box. I believe everyone have their definition of happiness... which is fine as long as it's not at the detriment of others sense of worth. Though being unhappy is not necessarily a bad thing because some times it part of the journey of life, but it is not ok to be unhappy for so long.

Well, one could ask how do we measure when being unhappy is so long??? Honestly I can't measure this, However, if being unhappy influence your decisions to hurt yourself or other it's too long. GET HELP please!!

Why is this important for your Health?

One thing many people don't understand is that the closest person that listens to your sense of happiness is yourself.

1. Being happy promotes your health: In my previous post, I wrote more about the importance of wellness, Please check it out!! Your body is the best detector of your state of health, NOT the Doctor, Nurse, or any other health professionals. (Health professionals are there to help you navigate recovery once a illnesses is fully understood). For example, if you are in a happy states the biochemicals in you body are more likely to work toward enhancing your immune system. This implies your body is at it's best to be of service to you as it fight off conditions that alters it normal functioning. Make every effort to be happy. Be involved in your communities, surround yourself with quality people that thrive and support you to be the best. Challenge yourself with activities that boost your self confidence.

2. Being happy put you at more chances to be in healthy supportive relationships. This is an important aspect of health and wellness, being that as humans, we are social being, so support system such as friends, family, and intimate partner are important part of our journey both in the pleasant and unpleasant times of our lives. This is because support system help us directly or indirectly helps us in life hurdles. It is important to also keep in mine that their (support systems) presence or absence may/ may not influence us positively, but healthy support systems, will definitely promote our sense and feelings of wellness.

3. Level of happiness influences the aging process. A side note: you start aging the day you were born. Aging encompasses a lot of dimensions such as physical, psychological, cognitive, e.t.c. happiness enhances your glow inside out.

Why one may not be happy

1. You may be stuck in your own train of thought

2. The energy around you may be toxic or unhealthy for you

3. You may be investing in relationships or things that don't enhance your happiness.

4. Your have unrealistic expectations

5. Life changes are happening to you

How To be Happy

1. For some, seeking and or challenging their faith is a way they achieve happiness. Be open minded.

2. Be with people that make you happy

3. Invest in relationships or things that make you happy, I mean anything, long as it doesn't put you and other at risks.

4. Exercise

5. Give yourself quality sleep

6. Enlighten your mind, read

7. Buy some happiness: As people we want to feel loved, cared for, and respected. Get yourself some love, care for yourself, and respect who you are!!!
